On the very rare occasions when I do go out and wear make-up, I always use Nude By Nature. I have funny colouring with very pale (and dry) skin and strawberry blond hair so I find it really difficult to find colours that suit and then products that sit well on my skin. With this in my mind I stocked up on what I needed.
Another thing that is very important to me is that Nude By Nature don’t test on animals and are PETA certified!!.
Here is the blog post from Nude By Nature:
If you’ve watched a make-up tutorial on YouTube or Instagram recently, you’ll know that in the beauty world there are unique terms and abbreviations for just about everything.
Take for example; BB Cream, strobing, baking, MUA or the up and coming A-beauty. It can be tricky to keep on top of everything we’re supposed to know when it comes to selecting and applying beauty products!
If you’ve never heard the term A-beauty or would like to know more, this post is all about that very topic. K-beauty or Korean beauty has been on our radars for a few years, and involves the use of Korean beauty products and the creation of a long-term, personalised and multi-step skincare routine.
A-beauty is the term for Australian beauty, and it’s one that is being used globally to describe the uncomplicated approach to skincare, hair and make-up enjoyed by Aussies, plus when it comes to Australian beauty brands – products are loved for their high-performing formulas that often include native Australian ingredients plus their versatility and ease of use.
Products by brands such as Lano, Frank Body, Zoe Foster Blake’s Go-To, Jurlique, Miranda Kerr’s Kora Organics or us, Nude by Nature are all sold around the world, and loved for being innovative, high quality and results focused.
When we were first created 10 years ago in Sydney, one of the key reasons was because Australians’ were becoming more conscious in every aspect of their lives, about things like healthy eating, exercise and food labelling – this in turn knocked on to skincare and then make-up choices.
The desire to avoid products which included toxins and harsh chemicals was growing. Every single ingredient within our make-up range has been carefully selected to deliver exceptional results including some of nature’s most trusted ingredients possessing moisturising, anti-ageing and skin nourishing benefits to help perfect the complexion.
Australia is home to an abundance of ‘superfood species’ unprecedented in efficiently storing vast quantities of Phyto-nutrients. Growing wild in isolated locations and undisturbed for centuries, these superfood species have developed complex adaption skills, and can store vast amounts of vital Phyto-nutrients needed to survive the extreme weather conditions; heat, drought, and high winds.
This ability to survive and thrive in such harsh environments is considered the main contributing factor in why they contain such high levels of powerful antioxidants.
One of these Australian ingredients is Kakadu Plum, known for its abundant Vitamin C content, strong antioxidant and anti-ageing properties. It grows wild across Australia’s north western wilderness in Western Australia where it is wild harvested by Aboriginal communities, is considered a gift of the Dreamtime by Aboriginal culture and has been used for centuries by Aboriginal communities as a vital food source and traditional medicine to treat skin conditions and ailments.
Kakadu Plum gained worldwide recognition and modern ‘superfood’ status when it was discovered that the fruit has the highest recorded levels of natural Vitamin C content in the world, which is impressively 100 times that of oranges.
We use Kakadu Plum in many of our products such as the Flawless Liquid Foundation, Flawless Concealer, Touch of Glow Highlight Stick and Allure Defining Mascara.
Other examples of powerful native Australian ingredients used in our products include Cehami Extract, Desert Lime, Lilly Pilly and Quandong.
We celebrate the 100% natural ingredients used in our make-up collection, and all of our products are formulated without synthetic ingredients or preservatives often found in cosmetics such as Silicone, Siloxanes, Phthalates, Sulphates, PEGS, Triclosan, Phenoxyethanol or Parabens, and do not contain Carmine, Talc or Bismuth Oxychloride.
It’s wonderful for Australian beauty products to be recognised on a global basis for all the positive aspects they provide, and we’re proud to be part of such an awesome group of brands.
I hope you all enjoyed reading that, it’s great to hear we are on the map with A-Beauty!!
